DID IT!
DID IT! is a celebration of creativity, confidence and completion. To mark the end of the first year of their four year degree course in photography at DIT, the exhibition provides a platform via which young emerging talent can display their work.
This is the first time these first-years will have had the opportunity to display their art to the general public - a privilege normally reserved for third year and final students. DID IT! helps fresh talent find a voice and creates new-found confidence.
The artists’ theme is ‘Space’. Though the theme can be interpreted in a myriad of ways - workspaces, spaces for living, vacant space, null space - the space must be physical and not conceptual.
DID IT! will allow each photographer to give individual and unique expression to an overarching concept, and will bring this newly-created work to a new audience for the first time.
DID IT! brings together a group of first year students from DIT’s prestigious degree course in photography. Their creations have been facilited by PhotoIreland Festival and curated by Louise Marlborough, Director of PrettyvacanT Dublin.
